Terms and Conditions for SNAPJACK
Terms of Service Effective Date: March 13, 2026 Last Updated: March 13, 2026 Welcome to SnapJack. By accessing or using the SnapJack mobile application or website at https://snapjack.app (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. --- 1. Description of Service SnapJack is a poker game management platform that allows users to: - Track poker cash game sessions (buy-ins, cash-outs, results) - Create and manage leagues (private competitive groups) - Calculate and manage settlements between players - View statistics, ratings, and leaderboards - Connect with friends and other players SnapJack is a tracking and management tool. It does not facilitate, host, or enable real-money gambling. No money is wagered, won, or lost through the Service itself. Users are solely responsible for the legality of their own poker activities in their jurisdiction. --- 2. Eligibility You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using SnapJack, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. --- 3. User Accounts 3.1 Account Creation You may create an account using Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or email authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. 3.2 Account Accuracy You agree to provide accurate and current information. You may not impersonate another person or create accounts for the purpose of deceiving other users. 3.3 Account Deletion You may delete your account at any time through the app Settings. Upon deletion: - Your personal information will be anonymized - Your game records will be retained in anonymized form to maintain data integrity for other users (league standings, settlement history) - This action is irreversible 3.4 Guest Accounts A host may create a guest account on your behalf to track your participation in a game. If you later create a full account, your guest data can be merged into your account. --- 4. Subscriptions 4.1 Free and Paid Tiers SnapJack offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription. The free tier provides core game tracking functionality. Premium unlocks additional features including multiple leagues, advanced analytics, and peer-to-peer settlements. 4.2 Pricing Current subscription pricing: - Premium: $8.99/month or $69.99/year Prices are in USD and may vary by region. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. 4.3 Auto-Renewal Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. 4.4 Payment - iOS: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Managed via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. - Web: Payment is processed through our payment provider. 4.5 Cancellation You may cancel your subscription at any time: - iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → SnapJack → Cancel - Web: Through your account settings on snapjack.app Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until then. 4.6 Downgrade When a subscription expires or is cancelled: - Your leagues are not deleted — data is preserved - League features revert to the free tier - If you hosted multiple leagues, you may be asked to choose which league(s) to keep active under free tier limits - Game tracking remains fully functional 4.7 Refunds - iOS purchases: Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084) - Web purchases: Contact support@snapjack.app within 7 days of purchase --- 5. Acceptable Use You agree not to: - Use the Service for any unlawful purpose - Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users’ accounts - Interfere with or disrupt the Service’s operation - Submit false or misleading data - Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission - Harass, abuse, or threaten other users - Create multiple accounts to circumvent subscription limits or bans - Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. --- 6. User Content and Data 6.1 Your Data You retain ownership of the game data and content you submit to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a license to store, process, and display your data as necessary to provide the Service. 6.2 Leagues and Shared Data When you join a league, your game results, statistics, and rating within that league are visible to other league members. If you leave a league, your historical data within that league is retained for league integrity. 6.3 Public Sharing If a game host enables public sharing for a game, the game results (including participant names and results) may be accessible via a public link. No financial details beyond game-specific results are shared. --- 7. Settlements and Financial Tracking 7.1 No Financial Transactions SnapJack tracks debts and settlements between players but does not process, hold, or transfer money. All actual payments between users occur outside of SnapJack (e.g., cash, Venmo, bank transfer). 7.2 No Financial Advice Settlement calculations, statistics, and rankings are provided for convenience and entertainment. They do not constitute financial, legal, or gambling advice. 7.3 Accuracy While we strive for accuracy in calculations, you are responsible for verifying settlement amounts before making payments. SnapJack is not liable for errors in user-entered data or resulting settlement calculations. --- 8. License and Intellectual Property 8.1 License Grant The SnapJack application is licensed, not sold, to you. We grant you a non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the application on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and, for iOS, Apple’s Usage Rules. You may not transfer, redistribute, or sublicense the application. If you sell or transfer a device, you must remove the application first. 8.2 Intellectual Property All content, branding, design, and code comprising the Service are owned by or licensed to SnapJack. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written consent. The SnapJack name, logo, and associated marks are trademarks of SnapJack. --- 9. Third-Party Services The Service integrates with third-party services including Google, Apple, RevenueCat, and Expo. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. SnapJack is not responsible for the practices of these third parties. --- 10. Disclaimer of Warranties THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that: - The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure - Results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable - Any defects will be corrected --- 11. Limitation of Liability TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SNAPJACK AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. --- 12. Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SnapJack, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from: - Your use of the Service - Your violation of these Terms - Your violation of any third party’s rights - Any content you submit to the Service --- 13. Governing Law and Disputes These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the state or federal courts located in California, United States. --- 14. Termination We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination: - Your right to use the Service ceases immediately - We may delete or anonymize your account data - Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8, 10, 11, 12, and 13) will survive --- 15. Changes to These Terms We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. --- 16. Consent to Data Collection You agree that we may collect and use technical data and related information — including device information, system software, and usage analytics — to provide, maintain, and improve the Service. This data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy (https://snapjack.app/privacy-policy). --- 17. Export Compliance You may not use or export the Service except as authorized by United States law and the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service was obtained. In particular, the Service may not be exported or re-exported (a) into any US-embargoed countries, or (b) to anyone on the US Treasury Department’s Specially Designated Nationals List or the US Department of Commerce Denied Persons List or Entity List. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are not located in any such country or on any such list. --- 18. Severability If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. --- 19.
